Introduction or Specialist?
Introduction is one day, and by the end your team understands AWS: services, security, costs, SLAs and governance. It's for people who make decisions about the cloud or work alongside it, including people outside IT. AWS Specialist is two days and eight labs: networking, EC2, Lambda, S3, databases, CloudFormation. That one is for the people who'll build and run systems on AWS. Got both groups? Start everyone on Introduction, then send your admins and developers to Specialist.

AWS account
You get an AWS account and environment for the course. Nothing to install on your machine.
Materials
You keep the materials after the course, plus a certificate of completion.

Common questions
Do I need to know AWS or how to code?
No. We start with what a public cloud is, and there's no programming. The programme is built so that people outside IT get something out of it too: managers, sales, marketing.
Does it prepare me for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner?
For a large part of it, yes. The programme covers topics from that exam: global infrastructure, the shared responsibility model, the main services, billing and support plans. It isn't an exam prep course though, so do some practice tests before you sit it.
How is it different from AWS Specialist?
Introduction takes one day to explain how AWS works and how to roll it out in a company. AWS Specialist is two days and eight labs where you build a network, an application and infrastructure as code yourself. If your team will build and run systems on AWS, Specialist gives them more.
Online or on site?
Either, and the programme is the same. Online sessions are live. On site, I come to your company.
Do I get materials and a certificate of completion?
Yes, you get the training materials and a certificate of completion. That's not the same as an AWS certification, which you earn by passing an exam.
Can you adapt the programme to our company?
Yes. Before the training we talk about who'll be in the room and what the company wants to use AWS for. That tells me how much time to give to costs, security or governance.
