Cookie policy

This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies (such as the browser's localStorage) are used on https://lukado.eu, why, on what legal basis, and how you can manage your consent. Last updated: 23 September 2026.

1. Who runs the site

The site is run by InfoMedia – Łukasz Dorosz, ul. Sternicza 129/12, 01-350 Warsaw, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 1251324025. Questions about cookies and personal data: hello@lukado.eu.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files your browser saves on your device. The browser's localStorage works in a similar way: the site can save simple settings there. This information can be read again on later visits. Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (kept for a set time).

3. What the site uses

There are three categories. The first is always on. The other two only run if you agree.

  • Essential – needed for the site to work properly, so they don't require consent (Art. 399(3) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law). They cover: your chosen theme (light or dark), saved in localStorage as `theme`; your cookie decision, saved as `lukado_consent`; your chosen language version (Polish or English), saved as `lukado_lang`; and whether you closed the quiz banner, saved as `lukado_promo_quiz`. This data never leaves your device and doesn't identify you.
  • Analytics – measure traffic and how the site is used (for example which pages people visit), so I can improve the content. This may be done with third-party tools such as Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.). Only runs with your consent.
  • Marketing – help tailor content and marketing and measure how well promotions work. Only runs with your consent. The site doesn't use any such tools right now; the category is there in case that changes.

4. Third-party content and services

  • Google Fonts – fonts are loaded from Google's servers (Google Ireland Ltd.), which means your browser sends your IP address to Google. Google Fonts doesn't set cookies. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in a consistent look for the site, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Embedded videos (YouTube) – if a page contains a video, it loads in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once you press play, YouTube (Google) may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
  • Links to other sites (LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube, Instagram) – these are plain links. No data goes to those sites until you click.

5. Legal basis

Analytics and marketing cookies are only set with your consent (Art. 399(1) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent is voluntary, and saying no doesn't limit your access to any content. Essential cookies are used under Art. 399(3) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law.

6. Managing your consent

  • On your first visit you'll see a banner where you can accept all categories, refuse the optional ones, or choose them one by one. Accepting and refusing are equally easy.
  • You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the button below. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

Change cookie settings

  • Your decision is remembered on your device for 12 months. After that, the banner appears again.
  • You can also delete and block cookies in your browser settings. Each browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) explains how in its help pages. If you block essential cookies, the site may not remember your theme, language or cookie decision.

7. How long data is kept

  • `theme`, `lukado_lang` (localStorage) – until you delete them.
  • `lukado_promo_quiz` (localStorage) – the date you closed the quiz banner; it comes back after 7 days.
  • `lukado_consent` (localStorage) – 12 months from your decision.
  • Analytics and marketing cookies – as set out in each provider's documentation, usually from 24 hours to 2 years.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated, for example when new tools are added. The current version is always available at this address, and the date of the last change is shown at the top. If the range of cookies used changes significantly, the banner will ask for your consent again.
